You are responsible for what you download

These tools convert a public YouTube video you paste a link to into an audio (MP3) or video (MP4) file for you to save. transcript.im does not select, upload, or store a library of third-party videos, and does not control what a visitor chooses to submit.

By using these tools you confirm that you have the legal right to download and use the resulting file — for example, the video is your own, is in the public domain, is licensed for download, or your use qualifies as fair use or a similar exception under applicable law. You are solely responsible for how you use the downloaded file.

No ownership or license is granted

Converting a video's format does not transfer, waive, or grant any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property right in the underlying content. All rights in the original video, audio, images, and any associated marks remain with their respective owners.

Content stays subject to YouTube's terms

• Downloading content is still subject to YouTube's Terms of Service and the rights the uploader has granted, regardless of what any third-party tool allows technically.
• transcript.im does not circumvent digital-rights-management (DRM) protection and does not support downloading content that YouTube itself restricts from download.
• Live streams, premieres, and upcoming (not-yet-published) videos are not supported by these tools.

Temporary processing only

A converted file is generated on request, made available for a short time so you can save it, and then deleted from transcript.im's storage. transcript.im does not keep a permanent library of converted files or use them for any purpose other than delivering your download.

If you are a rights holder and believe content converted through transcript.im infringes your copyright, see the copyright claims page for how to submit a notice and have access to the resulting file disabled.
