Copyright Claims
transcript.im respects the intellectual-property rights of others and responds to valid copyright notices. This page explains how to submit a claim and what happens after you do.

Before you file a claim
transcript.im's downloader tools convert a video a visitor links to; transcript.im does not host a searchable library of third-party videos. If you can identify a specific converted file that is still available through transcript.im (for example, a download link a visitor shared with you) and you believe it infringes your copyright, you can ask us to disable access to it.
If your concern is about a video on YouTube itself rather than a file generated by transcript.im, it is usually faster to report it directly to YouTube.
What to include in your notice
To help us act quickly, send your notice by email and include the following information:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, including a link to the original, authoritative copy where possible.
- The specific transcript.im download link or job identifier you believe infringes that work.
- Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
What happens after you file
We review notices that include the information above and, where a claim is valid, disable access to the identified file and take reasonable steps to prevent that specific conversion from being served again. Accounts and IP addresses associated with repeated, verified infringement may be restricted from using these tools.
Counter-notices
If you believe access to your content was disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to the same address with your contact information, identification of the disabled content, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed in error.
